Ideally, there would be a screen and projector in every big room in every town, but that’s just not the case. However, that’s not a problem for us, as we have our own screens, video and sound that we’re eager to bring to any space – indoors or out – with a fully operational mobile movie show.
INDOORS
Our 10.5’ x 14’ screen is ideal for community houses and churches, and is a great way to simulate the movie experience. Even if we do not choose your community house or church for one of our own events, we can help your community or church group host a movie night or film-related event of your own design. From the presentation to the selection and licensing of the film to the catering (if you decide to get that fancy), we can take care of nearly any need on nearly any budget, and can even offer coaching as to how to make such an event profitable.

LET THE MUSIC MOVE YOU
Does your church have an organ that doesn’t get played nearly enough? Why not show it off with a silent movie event. We work with renowned Boston organist Peter Krasinski to create a wonderfully engaging musical film event. Experience films like Cecil B. DeMille’s King of Kings or Fritz Lang’s masterpiece Metropolis like you have never experienced them before – in your church, cathedral or temple on a big screen, and with a live organ score! Peter is fantastic, and you won’t soon forget the fun one of his shows brings.

Don’t have an organ? Worry not – we have an alternative for you. Paired with our screen and portable projector, we can bring the acclaimed Boston trio, The Devil Music Ensemble, to your theatre or community house, where they will surely impress even the most jaded of filmgoers. With films like F.W. Murnau’s silent vampire classic Nosferatu and Robert Weine’s The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari in their repertoire, this group, which features three incredibly talented musicians playing a variety of instruments, will have all in attendance clamoring, as they leave the show, “When are you having those guys back?”
We also have the gifted pianist Richard Hughes, ready to bring the silent films of Charlie Chaplin and Laurel & Hardy to vivid life. Hughes began playing the piano at the age of seven, beginning with classical music and later boogie-woogie, ragtime and pop. For the past ten years, he has compiled many silent movie scores taken from authentic 'mood music' that was played during the 1920's. This music enhanced the movie scenes by making them 'come alive' in the third dimension. Recently, Richard has released a DVD of three Charlie Chaplin films with original musical scores that synchronize to the films. Hughes travels around Massachusetts doing hundreds of movie shows a year at schools, community centers, libraries, historical societies, and senior centers and finds that audiences of all ages laugh at the quick-paced slapstick style of acting that is reminiscent of the old Vaudeville days.
CINEMA UNDER THE STARS
The jewel in our collection (or “Le Bijou,” if you will) is our legendary “BlimpScreen.” It is a 15’ x 20’ inflatable screen, and can seat an audience of up to 750 people. We love to show it off, because really, it’s terribly cool. We even have an FM transmitter, should you want to host your own drive-in movie event. Our viable season is Memorial Day to Labor Day, though we can usually accommodate single shows (as opposed to series) as early as May 15 and as late as mid- to late September. A BlimpScreen rental includes everything you need for an outdoor movie show (short of the Port-A-Johns, police detail and Dark Lord of the Sith).
