xWe got our start putting on indie (not Indian) film shows in Worcester in 2003. We played anywhere we could get screen time. It grew into regular film events, and the decision to site an ambitious 50-film event in a town known for its thrift. In 2005, we launched that festival, and did well enough with it to do another one - an even larger one - in 2006.

2007 brought a move to the North Shore, where MBFP/CACC founder Robert "That Guy Who's Always There" Newton went to high school (HWRHS rulez!). In 2008, the Cinema opened with the 60-film Boston North Shore Film Festival, christened its new downtown home in 2009 with The DoctoberFest Documentary Film Festival, and is busy planning The Cape Ann Film Festival for August 2010.

We are always developing new concepts for series and themed mini-fests, and would love to get creative input from the most important people in our mix – you, the viewer.
